On Giving Tuesday the Bill Gates Foundation matches donations made up to $2 million. We will be posting our fundraiser Tuesday morning. Please ask your friends and family to consider donating $5. Last year we raised just over $1000. For our little nonprofit that provided two full grants. We will post the link once it is ready.

  1. Hi! My name is Staci and my daughter started this Nonprofit because of me. Today I saw the 2nd Surgeon in a row who told me that “he wouldn’t touch me with a ten foot pole” and that my case is “too risky” to try any surgical intervention. He recommended that I go to see pain management and get on pain patches and start thinking about a pain pump.

I’m not sure anyone would like to be told that is their future. I gave myself a minute to feel sad, then I had to get on with life. I have to get busy helping raise money for our little Nonprofit!! I don’t want anyone to be told what I was told today. Imagine a physician telling your son or your granddaughter that they needed to forget about a life and just live with a feeding tube, miss their prom, or school altogether. What if you were a single parent and you were too weak to get out of bed to drive your kids to school and you lived in fear that the ex would gain full custody?

SMAS is a rare gastro-vascular condition where the 3rd portion of the duodenum (first part of small intestines) is compressed between the Superior Mesenteric Artery and the Abdominal Aorta. This compression makes it difficult for food to pass through causing weight loss, pain, food fear, reverse peristalsis, and more. Quick diagnosis and early intervention can save people from lifelong complications.

Please join us on giving Tuesday and consider making a small donation. Every little bit helps!! Thank you šŸ’œ
